Pharmaco/Liberation

Making Space Bmore presents Pharmaco/Liberation, a group exhibition curated by Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) Curatorial Practice MFA candidate Juan T. Garcia. The multidisciplinary exhibition examines healthcare as both a site of survival and a system of control.

The works in Pharmaco/Liberation uses clinical themes and medical materials directly—pills, implants, biometric feedback, diagnostic imaging—to expose the friction between how healthcare systems operate and how people actually experience them.

Differentiation

Differentiation was the 3rd annual exhibition presented by Synthesthesia Spectrum, a collaboration between students of MICA and the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. Tatreez Inheritance

Making Space Bmore presents Tatreez Inheritance, an exhibition organized in partnership with the Tatreez Institute, founded by dress historian, curator, and embroiderer Wafa Ghnaim. Featuring photographic reproductions and writings on six traditional Palestinian dresses, the exhibition explores the historical, social, and political significance of dress styles produced in the mid-twentieth century.
